About the Job
Mercury is looking for an experienced CSA Construction Manager to join its team in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The role involves managing construction activities, coordinating multiple engineering disciplines, overseeing site operations, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, planners, and other stakeholders to coordinate large-scale construction projects. Experience in data centre projects is considered an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate CSA, mechanical, and electrical work packages.
- Manage site safety in cooperation with the Mercury Safety Advisor.
- Manage site quality assurance and related documentation.
- Coordinate project schedules with planners, project managers, subcontractors, and consultants.
- Monitor project costs including labour, materials, plant, equipment, variations, and valuations.
- Manage daily site operations and overall site logistics.
- Lead and coordinate the Mercury Engineering project team.
- Manage and lead site coordination meetings with subcontractors and project teams.
- Monitor subcontractor progress and manpower levels against project schedules.
- Manage snagging and weekly punch-list processes.
- Ensure subcontractor safety and project documentation remains up to date.
- Coordinate general operatives, security staff, telehandler drivers, traffic marshals, and other site personnel.
- Promote strong safety and quality standards throughout the project.
- Review weekly progress reports and identify delays, design issues, and other project constraints.
- Attend site meetings, project reviews, engineering reviews, planning meetings, coordination meetings, and handover meetings.
- Support the completion of final accounts, O&M manuals, punch lists, safety files, QA files, and project documentation.
- Prepare daily project reports for the Project Manager.
- Provide weekly safety statistics and project labour forecasts.
- Work with the commercial team to identify variations and project costs.
- Support change management relating to project costs and schedules.
- Review construction drawings and setting-out details.
- Produce builders’ work drawings for services.
- Coordinate and close out CSA construction snags.
- Perform other duties associated with the construction management role.
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of CSA construction processes.
- 5–7 years of experience as a CSA Construction Manager or Supervisor.
- Trade background or third-level education in engineering, construction, or a related field.
- Proven experience coordinating and managing large-scale construction projects.
- Strong project coordination and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong understanding of construction safety and quality requirements.
- Data centre construction experience is an advantage.
Work Schedule
The position is a full-time construction management role based in Frankfurt am Main. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day site activities, project meetings, subcontractor operations, and construction schedules.
