Warehouse Team Leader

A leading technology-driven logistics company is seeking a responsible and organized Warehouse Team Leader to support daily warehouse operations in the Netherlands. This full-time position is suitable for candidates with warehouse experience who are interested in developing their leadership and logistics skills.

The successful candidate will help coordinate warehouse activities, lead a small team of associates, support workflow planning, train new employees, monitor performance, and maintain a safe and organized working environment. Training will be provided for candidates who are willing to learn and develop within the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a small team of warehouse associates across functions such as receiving, picking, and packing.
  • Support daily warehouse operations and workflow coordination.
  • Assist with labor planning and task allocation.
  • Train new team members on standard operating procedures and workplace safety.
  • Monitor order accuracy and report operational issues.
  • Ensure employees follow warehouse safety rules and procedures.
  • Conduct regular warehouse safety inspections.
  • Identify and report potential workplace hazards.
  • Monitor warehouse floor activities and employee performance.
  • Inspect warehouse equipment and report maintenance requirements.
  • Assist with basic maintenance checks of conveyors, sorting equipment, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections and maintenance.
  • Assist with warehouse safety training and improve safety awareness among team members.
  • Work closely with operations teams to maintain smooth and efficient warehouse operations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Support supervisors with daily operational requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Previous team leader or informal leadership experience is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime and flexible schedules when required.
  • Ability to train and support other team members.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
  • Familiarity with scanners or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is an advantage.
  • Ability to identify and report workplace safety hazards.
  • Reliable, responsible, and team-oriented attitude.
  • Willingness to learn new warehouse systems and procedures.

Training

Training will be provided to suitable candidates. Previous experience with warehouse safety, equipment maintenance, or related responsibilities is beneficial but not mandatory.

Work Environment

The position involves working in a busy warehouse environment where employees may be required to stand, walk, coordinate tasks, inspect equipment, and support daily logistics operations. Candidates should be comfortable working as part of a team while also taking responsibility for assigned tasks.
