Job Overview
A growing warehouse and distribution operation is seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Inventory Control Lead to support inventory management, order processing, receiving, shipments, and daily warehouse operations. This full-time position is suitable for candidates with warehouse leadership experience who can work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, safety, and excellent communication.
The successful candidate will assist the Inventory Control Manager, coordinate warehouse order processing activities, support inventory accuracy, supervise team members, and help ensure products are selected, received, transferred, packaged, and shipped efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Inventory Control Manager with daily warehouse order processing activities.
- Support and supervise warehouse employees involved in product selection and order processing.
- Prepare, communicate, and process branch product replenishment paperwork.
- Assist with receiving and shipment documentation and ensure information is recorded accurately.
- Coordinate communication between the distribution center and branch warehouse personnel.
- Monitor inventory, receiving, and shipment information within the warehouse management system.
- Ensure products are accurately selected, checked, received, packaged, palletized, and prepared for shipment.
- Assist with inventory transfers and daily warehouse process changes.
- Compile and complete required system changes and enter relevant information into company computer systems.
- Communicate operational changes to branch personnel and other departments.
- Help ensure warehouse orders are completed within required timeframes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and help identify discrepancies.
- Assist management with improvements to inventory, receiving, and shipping processes.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely when required.
- Work closely with vendors, managers, coworkers, and other company departments.
- Provide professional and timely support to internal customers and warehouse teams.
- Perform additional warehouse and operational duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age.
- Previous warehouse experience.
- At least 1 year of previous leadership experience.
- Previous management or supervisory experience involving four or more employees.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment such as sit-down forklifts, standing forklifts, and order selectors.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, managers, coworkers, and warehouse personnel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Ability to pass required pre-employment background checks and drug testing.
Physical Requirements
The position requires regular physical activity, including standing for extended periods, bending, stooping, climbing steps and ladders, and lifting or carrying products weighing more than 60 pounds. Candidates should be physically capable of performing routine warehouse duties safely.
Work Environment
The role is based in a busy warehouse and distribution environment. Employees may be required to adjust their schedules according to business transactions and customer requirements. Maintaining workplace safety, organization, and operational efficiency is an important part of the position.
Work Schedule
- Full Time
- Monday to Friday
- Approximately 7:30 AM or 8:30 AM until finish
- Early mornings, late nights, weekends, or holidays may occasionally be required.
Salary
$23 – $26 per hour
Actual compensation may vary depending on experience, qualifications, and other applicable factors.
